A culture of impunity began with rewarding the killers on March 11 - Nurul Islam Bulbul
Former Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolis South Nurul Islam Bulbul said, "On March 11, 1982, the terrorists of Chhatra Union, Chhatraleague, Jasad Chhatraleague, and Chhatramoitri attacked and killed Shibir leaders Sabbir, Hamid, Ayyub, and Jabbar during the fresher's reception ceremony of Chhatrashibir at Rajshahi University. The murderers were punished in court. But the then-dictator Ershad government not only released the murderers convicted by the court but also rewarded the very same murderers by making them judges of the High Court. And by rewarding the murderers of March 11, the culture of impunity started in the country."
