National Education Week 2016

Abdul Malek, a bright young student of Dhaka University, gave his life for the movement to establish Islamic education as part of the national curriculum, when he was martyred at the hands of extremists after being attacked by them on 12 August, 1969, and passing away on 15 August, 1969. Like every year, Bangladesh IslamiChhatraShibir will be celebrating 11 to 17 August as National Education Week, and 15 August as as Islamic Education Day. The following activities will be observed in lieu of this Week,

1. Quran recitation and Dua

2. Discussion meetings

3. Distribution of Education materials

4. Essay Competition (Need for Islamic Education system, the blueprint for Islamic education)

5. Quiz Competition

6. Debate Competition

7. Wall/Board Art

8. Study Scholarships
