Chhatrashibir condemns and protests attack on Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala
Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir has strongly condemned and protested the attack and vandalism at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission located in Kunjaban, Agartala, India.
In a statement, Chhatrashibir central president, Manjurul Islam, said, “Relations between neighboring countries should be based on mutual respect and trust. A diplomatic mission is protected under international law. Such an attack is not only a threat to international diplomatic relations but also adversely impacts the mutual relations between the two neighboring nations. This incident undermines regional stability and could further encourage extremism and violence.”
The central president added, “We urge the Indian government to swiftly identify and punish the perpetrators and to strengthen the security of the mission. It is imperative to take effective measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.”
Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir also called on everyone to exercise patience and restraint and remain vigilant in protecting national interests.
