Shibir Will Protect the Country's Independence with the last drop of blood: Manjurul Islam

Manjurul Islam, the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, stated, "We have no attachment to our lives or blood if it is for the protection of the country's independence and Islam. Every member of Chhatrashibir is ready to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep the country free from chains." He made these remarks today (August 29) as the chief guest at the regional Associate conference in Bogura.

The conference was held with the associates of the Bogura region at the Titu Milayatan Auditorium in Bogura city. It was conducted by Rezoanul Islam, the president of the Bogura city branch, and presided over by Asaduzzaman Asad, the central sports secretary and regional supervisor. The conference started at 9:30 AM with a Quranic lesson. Manjurul Islam, the central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir, was present as the chief guest.

At the beginning of his speech, the central president prayed for the highest rank in Jannah for all the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement and wished for the recovery of the injured.

He said, "The fallen autocratic government, through its 15 years of misrule, has not only endangered the country's independence and sovereignty but has also created a chaotic environment within the country. It has left behind mountainous challenges in every sector. Especially in educational institutions, they created anarchy through 'room syndicates; to serve their own interests.

The autocratic government has destroyed the education system. By politicizing educational institutions, the police administration, and all sectors, they have tried to make this nation spineless by establishing a regime of oppression. The judiciary has been destroyed. Thousands of cases have been filed in the name of justice, and millions of people, including Chhatrashibir members, general students, and those with opposing views, have been imprisoned and subject to the steamroller of repression. They established a reign of fear in the country by enacting disappearances, killings, and setting up torture chambers.

But the power of the oppressor is not eternal. As a retribution for the oppression inflicted on the people of the country, the autocratic government has been thrown far away from the grip of power. This is the law of nature."

Addressing the associates present, he said, "To face all challenges in this world, one must develop oneself as a God-fearing person, attain closeness to Allah through the observance of Qiyamul Layl (night prayers) and Siyaamun Nahar (fasting), love the common people, and relate with them in brotherhood. Based on this, you must enhance your skills and qualifications."

Regarding campus organizations, he said, "Chhatrashibir will play a strong role in establishing peace in every educational institution. They must stand by the students in their joys and sorrows and keep a close eye on the overall welfare of the helpless students. Seats in hostels should be allocated based on merit, and jobs should be secured based on qualifications."

The conference was also attended by special guests such as the honored Ameer of Bogura city Jamaat-e-Islami, Principal Abidur Rahman Sohel, and Maulana Abdul Haque, Ameer of Bogura district west branch. Also present were Islami Chhatrashibir Sirajganj city president Md. Tariqul Islam, Bogura district east president Md. Zobayer Ahmed, Bogura district west president Sayed Qutb Sabbir, Sirajganj district president Alhaz Uddin, Joypurhat district president Jewel Hossain, along with the leaders of the district and city branches of the region.

Notably, in the same auditorium, a member assembly was held at 3 PM with the members of the Bogura region.
