Chhatrashibir has announced a month-long tree planting campaign

Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir has announced a month-long tree-planting program from 21 June to 20 July 2021.

On this occasion, Chhatrashibir inaugurated the program in the capital and distributed tree saplings among the students. Central President Salahuddin Ayubi was present as the chief guest. Also present at the time were Central Office Secretary Rajibur Rahman Palash, Literary Secretary Manjurul Islam, Dawah Secretary Habibur Rahman, Publicity Secretary Golam Rabbani, and other leaders.
Speaking as the chief guest, the central president said that trees are a special blessing from Allah Ta'ala for the living world. The basis of our existence is intertwined with the tree. Trees are essential for our life and livelihood. The tree provides food for all animals. It gives oxygen to keep the fauna alive. At the same time, it absorbs carbon dioxide, which is dangerous to animals. Trees maintain the balance of nature by controlling floods, drizzles, storms. They keep the weather and climate temperate and make the soil fertile. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) planted trees himself and encouraged his Companions to plant trees and gardens. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the planting of trees as a charity. He said, "When people and animals take food from the tree, it is considered as charity for the planter." (Bukhari and Muslim). So it goes without saying that the importance of tree planting is immense.
On the other hand, natural disasters are a terrible problem in Bangladesh. Only by planting trees can this disaster be prevented. To protect the environment from the harmful aspects of natural disasters and to fill it with greenery, more trees should be planted. In this way, besides protecting the environment, the country will also benefit financially. Considering the overall aspect, Chhatrashibir announces and implements a tree planting program every year.

It may be mentioned that Chhatrashibir has announced a tree-planting program from 21 June to 20 July 2021 with the aim of carrying out a special program of planting 1 lakh 46 thousand trees this year, which is one tree per square kilometer. The following programs have been taken to make the tree planting campaign a success:
o Each manpower will plant 1 sapling of fruit, forest, and medicinal plants.
o Every manpower will distribute 2 saplings.
o Various programs will be carried out to prevent deforestation and to create public awareness about tree planting.
o Distribution of tree saplings among students of secondary and higher secondary level schools and madrasas.
o To prevent any erosion including river erosion and make arrangements for planned planting of trees in river embankments.
o Giving saplings to house owners and planting saplings in their yard or roof.
o Taking care of the seedlings planted last year.
o Conducting programs in compliance with hygiene rules.
o Giving Tree Friend / Environmental Friend award to the top 10 tree planting manpower at the branch level.
