On April 9, 2012, a quiz competition was organized at the initiative of 'An-Noor'. There was a question in this – “what was the number of tafsir mahfil which was closed?” This question alarmed Awami League leaders and they started plotting. At one stage, the Awami League and its associate organizations organized secret meetings and organized. In continuation of this, on April 13, a group of Awami Leaguers went to the house of Shibir activist Abdullah Al Monju and attacked him. Faruq and Rubel, the son of Awami League activist Badshah, lobbed a sharp spear at him from a few feet away from behind. The spear entered him from behind his shoulderto the bottom of his right shoulder and protruded out from the right chest. Manju pulled it out with his hand and immediately fell to the ground. Like a slaughtered
animal, blood flowed out of the wound. The time was around 8:30 am. After 45 minutes he was brought to Kushtia Sadar Hospital in a microbus, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at around 9 am.
