Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has issued a statement in strong protest and severe condemnation of unjust arrest of 7 Shibir activists in Fenchuganj, Sylhet and fabricated police statement regarding their arrest.

Country was not liberated to serve any hegemonic power

Yasin Arafat, the Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir said that the heroic sons of the nation sacrificed their blood and brought about liberation to establish themselves as a dignified nation and live with the rights they deserved. Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, in a statement, has expressed its deep concern over the arrest of five Shibir leaders from Jessore, the police denial following their arrest, and not presenting them in court after arrest. Shibir in its statement also called for the immediate release of information of the whereabouts of the arrested leaders.
