Yasin Arafat, the central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, said that the workers of the Islamic movement are uncompromising in their mission to save the country and Islam. Shibir activists are always ready to make any sacrifice on the path of the Deen. Therefore, the progress of the Islamic movement cannot be stopped through arrest and torture.
Mobarak Hossain, the Secretary General of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has said that the biggest crisis in the current Muslim world is the Rohingya problem, which has hurt Muslims all over the world. Thus, the world community must come forward to face the Rohingya crisis.
What is literacy? The literal meaning of the word literacy is someone who knows his alphabets. Now normally, a literate person is one who can read, write and calculate. The literate can easily read and understand his mother tongue, and express himself in writing and speech, and carry out daily calculation. In the last fifty years, there have been many changes in the definition of being literate and literacy in Bangladesh. The first mention of 'literacy' in Bangladesh is seen in the government census in 1901. But the definition of literacy has evolved over time. In 1901, it was the ability to sign in one’s mother tongue. In 1951, it was the ability to read any sentence written in plain print letter in 1951.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket team for its victory against the Australian cricket team in the first Test at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla stadium.
He said this while addressing attendants at a program for distributing money among the children studying in different educational institutions of Dhaka affected by the floods, under the initiative of Shibir, held in an auditorium at the capital. Central leaders were present during the program presided by Shibir Secretary General Mobarak Hossain.
