Statement by Chhatra Shibir demanding justice for student leader Sharifuzzaman Nomani; killers should be brought to justice

Central President Yasin Arafat and Secretary General Mobarak Hossain said that a most heinous crime in the history of student politics of Bangladesh was committed with the killing of ex-Secretary of Rajshahi University Unit and meritorious student leader Sharifuzzaman Nomani. On this day of 2009, the terrorist goons of Chhatra League viciously stabbed and killed Sharifuzzaman Nomani. Although this barbaric killing has been condemned by all strata of society in the country, neither the government nor the police have taken any steps to catch the killers or take any steps to comprehend them.

Protest regarding publication of false and baseless news against Shibir

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has protested the false and baseless news accusing and involving the student organisation published by several news dailies Dainik Ittefaq, Kaaler Kontho, Bangladesh Pratidin and others with the headlines, “Shibir cadre hacks madrassah female student after rejecting romantic advances.”

Stop genocide against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar
