Chhatrashibir mourns the death of mother of the 109th Shaheed Muhammad Salahuddin
Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir has expressed deep grief over the demise of Hafsa Begum, the revered mother of Muhammad Salahuddin, the 109th martyr of Chhatrashibir.
In a joint condolence message, Salahuddin Ayoubi, the Central President of Chhatrashibir and Rashedul Islam, Secretary General, said that the revered mother of Muhammad Salahuddin, the 109th martyr of Islami Chhatrashibir, passed away at 4 am today (innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raajioon). At her death, Chhatrashibir lost a revered mother and well wisher of the organisation. She is a proud mother of a hero. Despite losing her beloved son Shaheed Muhammad Salahuddin, he remained steadfast in the path of religion. She was an inspiration for us. Even though she lost her beloved child, she nurtured the dream of establishing the deen till the last moment of her life. The leaders and workers of Chhatrashibir will never forget her prayers, love, encouragement and direction towards Chhatrashibir. All the manpower of Chhatrashibir are mourning the loss of this respected mother.
We seek forgiveness and Jannatul Ferdous from Allah Ta'ala for the mother of the martyr and extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family of the deceased.
It may be mentioned that on January 20, 2000, the day after Chhatraleague terrorists abducted him from Zahur Market, on January 21, the BCL terrorists brutally killed Muhammad Salahuddin, a meritorious 3rd year student of Mohsin College, under Hathazari Bridge.
